Amazon to create 7,000 jobs in UK

Amazon has already offered temporary positions to thousands of people whose jobs were affected at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, many of whom will now receive a permanent job offer.

Amazon will now create 7,000 jobs in the UK, the online giant announced. The jobs will be created in its warehouses and other locations in the UK in the coming months.

That means 10,000 jobs will be created by Amazon in Britain this year alone.

Over 50 sites will have extra workers, including a new depot in the North East of England, which opened in May, and two new centres opened in the autumn in the North East and Midlands.
