Court of Appeal correctly ruled against the Heathrow expansion

Heathrow airport will today launch a Supreme Court appeal against the decision to block the construction of a third runway on the grounds that it has not taken into account the UK's climate promises.In February, the Appeals Court ruled that the government had failed to take the 2015 Paris climate agreement into account in its plans to expand the country's busiest airport. A spokesman for the airport said: "Heathrow will ensure that the expansion project is in line with the UK's climate change obligations, including under the Paris Climate Agreement, as part of our plans to achieve zero carbon liquid¨. The project remains a critical economic platform for the country's growth.
