Scotland, why?
Almost half of Scotland's vaccines are still stored in cold stores, as deliveries are still delayed in almost all other parts of the UK, the Scottish Secretary confirmed.
Alister Jack said almost a million vaccines have been allocated to Scotland so far, but almost half were still in Scottish freezers or in the UK warehouse, which needs 24 hours' notice for them to be withdrawn.
Jason Leitch, Scotland's national clinical director, told MSPs on Thursday "we cannot give GPs all the vaccine they need for all their over 80s or 70s because we do not have enough. There are about 720,000 people over 70 in Scotland.
