Frenetic racing: contention in the main battlefield states may be tightening in the race for tomorrow's elections 







With Joe Biden maintaining strong national leadership, 74-year-old President Trump held four separate rallies on Saturday in Pennsylvania - which both sides see as a mandatory victory - and five more in other key states yesterday, including Iowa and Georgia, where he won comfortably in 2016 but will be much closer this time.

According to the US electoral bill, more than 50 million Americans voted, either in person or by mail, on the morning of 23 October






More than 70 million Americans voted in the US presidential election, more than half of the total turnout for the 2016 election, according to a new count.

With one week to go until election day on November 3, Americans sent ballots in record numbers, driven by the impact of the coronavirus on voting.

According to a US Election Bill count, the election could lead to the highest percentage turnout in more than a century, the latest sign of intense interest in the race between Republican President Donald Trump and challenger Democrat Joe Biden.


Trump has repeatedly and without evidence suggested that an increase in postal voting will lead to an increase in fraud, although election experts say this is rare in American elections
