EU leaders spent 10 hours discussing climate change at an all-night summit, postponing a scheduled Brexit update.

The 27 prime ministers and presidents are meeting in Brussels for the October European Council

(the day after Boris Johnson came to town in an attempt to obtain concessions from the European Commission)





At 8:20, Charles Michel, with his eyes clouded, announced that leaders had agreed that the EU would  reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030.
