TikTok decides to go to court against Trump decree
TikTok reported Saturday that it plans to file a lawsuit on Monday against U.S. President Donald Trump's decree banning transactions with the popular video application and its Chinese controller ByteDance.
TikTok said he has tried to relate to the U.S. government for nearly a year, but the government has not paid attention to the facts. "To ensure that the rule of law is not discarded and that our company and users are treated fairly, we have no choice but to challenge the decree through the judicial system," the company said in a statement.
TikTok owner ByteDance issued a separate statement this Sunday saying she will officially open a lawsuit against the Trump government on Monday, August 24.
