Roche, who writes for the French weekly Le Point, said the UK can expect its economy to recover, while the EU could languish by the end of the year. "The success of vaccinations has given an optimistic factor and one can expect the economy to recover like in the US over the summer.
"Europe will wait until the fourth quarter to come back¨, Roche added.
