The Towy River in Carmarthen, South Wales, broke its banks after storm Christoph brought heavy rains to the area.

Storm Christoph caused damage throughout the UK at night, leaving underwater homes and snow-covered cities 

- and it's not over yet


But those who must evacuate their homes will not break the lockdown rules, the authorities confirmed.

The Environmental Agency said: "If you believe you are in immediate danger, call 999.


"If you are invited to leave your home and need to stay with family or friends due to a flood, you will not be in violation of the coronavirus laws and no legal action will be taken.¨
