Non-essential visits by UK citizens to the EU will be undermined, according to the Financial Times

The end of the escapades to Paris and its surroundings: most UK residents will face restrictions on visiting the remaining 27 EU members from 1 January





Most UK citizens will only be able to travel to the EU if individual states make arrangements for such a change, or if the bloc as a whole eases restrictions on pandemic travel, the paper said.

The formal end of the transition period will mean that the British will face an EU regime that only allows non-essential travel from a very limited number of non-EU countries.
