Good News: Pfizer/BioNTech announces 90% efficacy of covid-19 vaccine
Pfizer and BioNTech announced yesterday that a preliminary analysis of the phase 3 study of the substance being tested on 43,538 people - 2,000 of them in Brazil - was "over 90%" effective. This means that nine out of 10 immunized volunteers were protected against Sars-CoV-2 with two doses of the vaccine.
Actions in the travel, leisure and hospitality sectors recovered yesterday after the results of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine trial were better than expected.
The pharmaceutical company Pfizer said the findings of its expected Phase 3 trials marked "a great day for science and humanity".
