The charity's revenue fell by 15% after its shops were forced to close

One of the UK's largest mental health charities announced 80 job cuts

Mind Charity Shop

Mind , which employs 525 staff at its headquarters in London and Cardiff , said the cuts were due to the "continued impact" of Covid-19 .

The number of people affected will be less than 80 as the charity will close open positions.
Charity leaders warned that the sector was in "serious trouble" after a funding gap estimated at £10 billion in six months, and asked the government to "think creatively" about how this could be supported.

Paul Farmer, CEO of Mind, said the charity faced a large increase in demand and a drop in revenue.

Previously, in response to the pandemic, Mind helped set up a coronavirus information centre that has been seen 1.7 million times since it went live in March.

They also launched a support service for front-line workers struggling with their mental health during the pandemic.
