In test video, mobile phone does not suffer any damage
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has reached the shelves of the United States and is being sold for US$2,000
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 faces its first durability tests in the hands of one of the most famous YouTube channels, JerryRigEverything. Zack Nelson, the channel presenter, starts the video with a brief review of the new features of Galaxy Z Fold 2, but soon starts the fun: youtuber starts with tests on the screen's resistance to scratches and, surprisingly, the front screen shows good results, proving the protection by glass and reaching the same level as conventional top of the line smartphones.
It then takes a pointed object to test the internal screen and, as you've observed in the original Galaxy Fold, Z Fold 2 doesn't require much strength to register the first scratches and even nails can do damage to the screen.
It removes one of the protective films that should not be removed and proves that even below that first layer, the screen is still protected by another equally fragile plastic film. Even so, the fold shows greater resistance than Galaxy Fold, due to its multiple protective layers.
Not even the attempt to fill the mobile phone with dust surpasses the folding device's protection; it still withstands some successful strength tests and survives the process until the end, with no problems in the folding mechanism.
