Drones will hygienize US stage
Starting this month, drones will sanitize the Mercedes-Benz stadium, located in Georgia (USA), after each match. The service will be carried out by Lucid Drone Technologies and aims to reduce the risk of transmission of the Sars-CoV-2 virus, which causes covid-19.
The first clean-up will take place on the 11th of this month after the Falcons game against Carolina Panthers. The stadium, known as the home of the National Football League (NFL) sports league, is the first of its kind to adopt the measure.
The drones are equipped with electrostatic spray nozzles and will clean glass partitions, handrails and the 71,000 seats in the venue (which will be sanitized in 95% less time compared to the manual method).
