The company will remove any content to protect itself from future legal battles
As of this Thursday (1st), Facebook will operate under a new policy of terms and conditions of use of the platform. The change allows the company to more broadly remove any content that could cause legal problems for Mark Zuckerberg's company. This is a counterattack on the threats by Donald Trump and Joe Biden, candidates for the presidency of the United States, to repeal a U.S. law that somehow protects companies that operate with social networks. In short, the text of Section 230 exempts companies from liability under the content published on the platforms. "We may also remove or restrict access to your content, services or information if we determine that this is reasonably necessary to avoid or reduce adverse legal or regulatory impacts on Facebook," the new text made available under the social networking terms.
