The President of the United States announced this Friday that his covid-19 test was positive, as was that of his wife, Melania Trump
The Presidential Adviser, Hope Hicks, also tested positive for Covid-19
"Melania and I tested positive for covid-19," wrote Donald Trump on Twitter social networking site.
"We will immediately begin our process of quarantine and recovery. We will go through this together," he added.
Also Melania Trump used the social network to confirm that she tested positive. "Like many Americans this year, the US president and I are quarantined at home after testing positive for covid-19. We're feeling good and we've postponed all our next appointments," she wrote on Twitter.
The second Nov. 3 election debate between Donald Trump and Democratic White House candidate Joe Biden is scheduled for Oct. 15 and it is yet to be determined.
Trump's election campaign for a second term at the White House is conditioned by the diagnosis of the disease caused by the new coronavirus. Trump is forced to remain in isolation and it is not known for how long. The rally scheduled for this Friday in Florida has been cancelled and the same should happen with a trip to Wisconsin scheduled for this weekend, reports AFP.
Hope Hicks, Presidential Advisor, was on board Air Force One with the President of the United States on a flight to Cleveland (Mid-East) on Tuesday, also testing positive for Covid-19.
