Police keep an eye on holidaymakers

The Scottish police will monitor the roads and trains in the central belt to try and prevent Christmas shoppers from breaking travel restrictions.

Iain Livingstone, the chief of police, said extra police will be called in to patrol the roads and there will also be a greater presence in malls to avoid crowding.
