The post-Brexit trade agreement between the UK and the EU has been unanimously approved by all 27 member countries of the bloc, removing the most recent obstacle to the agreement entering into force on New Year's Day.
Approval was expected after the agreement was warmly received by EU leaders. It still needs the approval of EU legislation, which is expected in February.
