The group, NHS Workers for Choice, No Restrictions for Declining a Vaccine, has gained over 250 Facebook members in one month. They include a family doctor, several accident and emergency nurses, health workers, laboratory workers and public and private household employees.

It says it is not an anti-vaccine group and exists to support health workers, but The Times found postings saying the Pfizer-BionTech coronavirus vaccine was a new frozen, smallpox-like virus to be "released" into the world. They compared it to "poison".

A member who works in a GP surgery said he would rather stop than help with vaccination.
