The first coronavirus vaccine may be ready for use weeks after Pfizer said its version may be even more effective than initially thought

The pharmaceutical company said it was ready to send its findings to regulators after more data came in suggesting that it stops 95 percent of symptomatic infections. Ugur Sahin, chief executive of German company Biontech, a partner in Pfizer's vaccine, said that if all went well he hoped the regulators would approve it by the second half of next month, when it could be used immediately.
