Parliamentarians are increasingly concerned about the huge amounts the government is spending on the coronavirus crisis

Parliamentarians expressed surprise last night after Boris Johnson was preparing to spend more than £40 billion on his Covid mass testing programme.

Yesterday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock confirmed that mass testing for the coronavirus will be implemented in a further 67 parts of the country.

Areas including Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, the West Midlands and several parts of London will receive the Covid-19 rapid tests within days.
