Tesco doubles the price of plastic bags
Tesco said it is changing the price of one of its most purchased items in every supermarket in the UK.
In an attempt to reduce the amount of plastic bags sold in supermarkets, Tesco is now charging 20 cents for its bags for life, reports the Manchester Evening News .
The bags cost 10p each. 
Sainsbury's currently charges 5 cents or 10 cents for its bags for life.
Since July, Asda has increased the price of its plastic bags to 15 cents each.
Morrisons says it charges 30 cents per bag for life.
Aldi's lifetime bags currently cost 20p.
