Reckitt Benckiser said the strong performance was mainly driven by increased demand for disinfectants during the pandemic, with sales of Dettol branded products increasing more than 50 percent in the year.
"The strong momentum in the first half continued in the third quarter ... Our performance was led by an increase in Hygiene and Healthcare volumes, led by our leading disinfectant brands - Dettol, Lysol, Sagrotan and Napisan," said executive chairman Laxman Narasimhan.
Reckitt Benckiser recorded free cash flow of £1.9 billion and net debt of £10.1 billion.
