Civil charges against McAfee allege that he has made over $23.1 million
in undisclosed compensation for false and misleading recommendations of cryptographic currencies

John McAfee, an anti-virus software entrepreneur, was accused of tax evasion on the 5th of this month, after his arrest in Spain, where extradition is pending. According to Business Insider, there are ten charges in all, after the executive failed to file tax returns from 2014 to 2018.
During the period, McAfee earned his fortune by giving lectures, consulting work, and promoting cryptographic coins, as well as selling his life story rights for a 2016 documentary. According to prosecutors, he hid assets from the IRS, including real estate, a vehicle and a yacht, on behalf of others.
