Earthshot Prize : the most prestigious global environmental prize in history

$65 million over the next 10 years for those with the best ideas to solve five of the world's biggest environmental challenges by 2030

Prince William is following in the footsteps of his father, Charles, and grandfather, Prince Phillip, who have been campaigning for sustainability for decades

Prince William of Great Britain has announced the Earthshot Prize , a joint venture of the Prince and more than with the Bloomberg and Aga Khan Foundations, Queen Rania of Jordan and pop star Shakira, among other big names, including the renowned environmentalist Sir David Attenborough.

Each year, from 2021 to 2030, the Earthshot Prize Council will award one prize to five winners offering "evidence-based solutions" to each of Earthshot's five broad goals:

- Protect and restore nature            

- Clean our air                               

- Relive our oceans

- Build a world without waste

- Fix our climate

According to the official residence of Prince William Kensington Palace, who explained the new initiative, each of the five annual winners will receive a reward of about $1.3 million", which will be used to support agreed environmental and conservation projects, as well as large-scale public recognition and significant support to scale up their solution. "
