Biden raises US$ 364.5 million in August

Joe Biden broke fundraising records with a total of $364.5 million last month, as several polls showed the White House race was escalating.

Biden's cash increase was driven by his choice of Kamala Harris as his flatmate, raising $48 million in the 48 hours following the announcement and setting to beat the monthly record of $193 million set by Barack Obama in September 2008.

Biden's campaign announced that the candidate would today visit Kenosha, the city of Wisconsin where there were days of protest after police repeatedly shot a black man in the back, leaving him paralyzed. President Trump visited the city on Tuesday.
