 Fake news on WhatsApp ?

Currently when you receive a message that has been sent many times, a double-arrow label appears. The difference is that with the new tool, next to this message, the magnifier button will be displayed. When you click it, you will be directed to Google. "It's a simple way to search the Internet for the content of this message, we can help our users find news or other sources of information about the content received," says the release.

According to WhatsApp, the feature will allow users to search directly from the phone or computer browser without WhatsApp having access to the message content.

This is one of the latest measures that the instant messaging company has introduced to try to prevent the spread of false information in its platform that has been circulating lately.

In April, the app limited the sending of forwarded messages. After this change, messages can only be forwarded to one person at a time. With this, the company said it reduced the spread of viral messages by 70%.
