Poetry , by Gabriel Colombo

Disrtraced

- As in a loving song
Today, with that astonishment of the first pain
I woke up crying, prowling the flat
With a Godard interview in my hand
Three fantasies in my head
The ceiling so low, I went to the centre
Lyrical Ulysses devouring Milk Shakes
In quick steps I said to the shop-window mirrors
Hello Marina Vladi, imitating that hairdo
Loudspeakers from the shops give me the creeps
I'm almost in love
There, blowing a cup of coffee from the machine
With the voice of the King in my belly
Jobim in my heart
Mirror contact box
Whistling in the lift
A song comforts me
While my mother knits
Distracted princess
I need to get out of the house
