The museum is located in Denmark, which currently holds the title of the second happiest country on earth
The Happiness Research Institute, based in Copenhagen, has opened the world's first museum of happiness
The Happiness Museum has eight rooms dedicated to different theories on the nature of happiness. On one screen, visitors are invited to choose between an "experience machine" that provides users with infinite, though illusory, pleasure and the real world, which involves pain and suffering. Other exhibitions include a map room identifying the happiest and unhappiest countries in the world, a laboratory of happiness, an overview of the history of happiness, and an exploration of why Denmark and other Nordic countries are consistently among the happiest in the world.
